National Innovation Center to collect money from crowd-funding

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: National Innovation Center has planned to raise money through crowd-funding to run the center.



Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, chairperson of the center Mahabir Pun said that the innovation center will benefit the entire country. He said that the National Innovation Center is registered as a non-profit company and the center will utilized the entire budget collected from the people in a transparent manner.



Speaking at the press conference, Pun urged the political leaders not to create rumors about the innovation center and its plans. He said that he was not doing anything for his personal gains. 



Pun, a Magsaysay award winner, said that the National Invention Center has been established to strengthen the country's research and innovation initiatives. The center will encourage young people to get involved in innovation to help communities by utilizing technology and inventions.



One of the major aims of the center is to connect technology with livelihood of people living in the rural parts of the country. It provides platform to scientists and others involved in innovation to test ideas related to technology.
