“The dream of economic prosperity is possible only through innovation. It’s not one of the ways but the only way through which we can achieve the aspiration of prosperity that the Nepali people have been longing for,” according to Pun.
Pun, during his interview with Republica’s premium show #2030, said that the government's goal to attain prosperity is possible through only innovation and invention.
According to him, non-resident Nepali investors are showing interest in numerous inventions carried out by the National Innovation Center, founded in 2012 and inaugurated formally in October, 2019.
On a different note, he said that organizing science fairs and exhibitions is a hoax. “It definitely induces innovation; however, it doesn’t necessarily mean that such programs always contribute to any innovation in the country,” he said.
He stated that the National Innovation Center is an innovation ground but mass invention is a far-fetched dream unless an appropriate atmosphere is created through much-needed policies and programs.
