KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The Nepali national cricket team left for New Delhi, India on Sunday to play practice matches as part of preparations for the World T20 Cricket Qualifiers and the ICC World Cup Qualifiers. The Nepali team led by skipper Paras Khadka and Sri Lankan coach Pubudu Dassanayake will play seven matches, including three at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, during the tour. The team comprises 15 players and four officials. Jagat Tamata is the assistant coach of the team, Purna Lama is the manager and Subramaniam Veerasamy is the physiotherapist. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had recently signed a deal with the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) for the tour. Nepal will compete in the World T20 Qualifiers to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November, followed by the Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in New Zealand in January 2014. [break]
