Narayanghat-Mugling road in full operation after 34 hours

CHITWAN, Sept 12: Narayanghat-Mugling road section has come into full operation from 11 am Wednesday after the last of the landslide debris was removed from the Charkilo area. It took a total of 34 hours to bring the road into full operation, according to officials.

CHITWAN, Sept 12: Narayanghat-Mugling road section has come into full operation from 11 am Wednesday after the last of the landslide debris was removed from the Charkilo area. It took a total of 34 hours to bring the road into full operation, according to officials.



The landslides had hit various sections of the road in the wee hours of Tuesday following incessant rainfalls. After partial clearance, one way of the road had come into operation from Tuesday night at around 7:30.

The task of removing landslide debris went in full swing from Wednesday morning, according to District Traffic Police Office, Chitwan. Narayangaht-Mugling Road Project Office informed that they were able to bring both ways of the road into operation from 11 am.


Passengers had to go through great ordeal as many were stranded on the road due to the blockage.
