RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), June 27: The busy Narayangadh-Muglin road stretch was struck with yet another landslide at 5 am today blocking regular traffic.

The landslides struck at Seti Dovan locality including two other areas shutting down the highway, said District Police Office, Chitwan.

The police teams are being mobilized to remove the landslide debris with help of dozers and loaders as torrential rain continues to aggravate the problem. The possibility of more landslides on the road stretch looms larger than ever.

The vehicular movement from Chitwan to Kathmandu and Pokhara has come to a grinding halt. Around 7,000 vehicles pass through this section of the highway on a daily basis.

The road stretch is currently under construction due to which landslides have become a common scene.

The road had remained shut for at least six hours on Sunday morning due to multiple landslides. RSS
