KATHMANDU, March 20: Prayer in a Kathmandu-based mosque has been postponed following the government’s announcement to avoid mass gatherings as an attempt to prevent the possible outbreak of pandemic of novel coronavirus.
Nepali Jame Mosque Management Committee has informed that the routine prayer on Friday has been suspended and also urged the religious community not to make a crowd alongside the mosques.
National Assembly put off until further notice
The committee also requested the people from the Muslim community to recite prayer from their home itself.
Earlier, the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai had urged the people to rethink about organizing religious activities.
