Domestic tourists have been finding it difficult to get rooms in hotels. Thousands of tourists from Kathmandu Valley and adjoining areas rushed to Nagarkot after Sunday evening´s rain triggered snowfall.[break]
Hordes of people, gathering at open areas and near Nepal Telecom´s tower in Nagarkot, have been playing with snow.
Snowfall has sharply increased tourists, said Deepak Lamichhane, Secretary of Nagarkot Nalydum Tourism Development Committee. "The present tourist arrival is the highest is a gap of recent one year period," he said.
However, some tourists are forced to return as hotels in Nagarkot have been overcrowded, he said, adding that more than 10,000 domestic and international tourists arrived within two days.
