Nagarik Daily subscription crosses 100,000 mark

KATHMANDU, March 4: In what is a major milestone for Nepal Republic Media (NRM), number of subscribers of Nagarik Daily, a sister publication of Republica, has crossed the 100,000 mark.

NRM celebrated the achievement by organizing a function at its central office in Sundhara on Tuesday. NRM celebrated the achievement by organizing a function at its central office in Sundhara on Tuesday. During the program, NRM awarded its 100,000th subscriber, Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, from Dhumbharahi, with a watch.

Addressing the function, NRM´s Managing Director Binod Raj Gyawali said that the publication could attract more than 100,000 subscribers because of the effort put in by the organization´s employees. "The achievement was possible because of our staffers´ relentless hard work. Also, we could achieve the success due to the love and affection shown by our readers for the newspaper," Gyawali said.

He said the achievement has encouraged the organization to do even better in future.

Likewise, Prateek Pradhan, editor-in-chief of the newspaper, said that the newspaper´s subscribers have crossed 100,000 because of its objective and professional journalism. "The number of subscribers reflects increasing credibility and popularity of the newspaper among readers," said he.

Shrestha, the 100,000th subscriber of the newspaper, said he was delighted when he learnt that he was being rewarded by the newspaper. He has been reading Nagarik Daily for the past six years.

On the occasion, Director Shova Gyawali, Corporate Affairs Manager Samridhhi Gyawali were also present. Over 200 people attended the function.

On Tuesday, NRM also announced a photo competition. Under the competition, a person has to visit the office and snap a photo in front of ´Ma Nagarik´ photo booth of NRM and post it on Facebook with hash tag #managarik.

The person whose photo gets more likes will receive a surprise gift from the organization within a week.
