Nabil wins 'BPA Award' for 6th straight year

KATHMANDU, July 27: Nabil Bank Ltd has bagged 'Best Presented Annual Report (BPA) Award 2013/14' under Banking Sector (Private and Public sector) category. The bank was honored with the award at a function organized by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) -- the regulatory body of accounting and auditing firms -- last week.



According to a press release issued by the bank, it is the sixth year in a row that the bank has bagged the award.

"Receiving the prestigious award is an honor for Nabil Bank and is a testament to the bank's high standards of corporate governance and the untiring effort in looking after the interest of all of our stakeholders and providing detailed information of bank's operation that are required for the public through the annual report," the statement quoted bank's CEO Sashin Kumar Joshi as saying while receiving the award.


"The initiative of ICAN in recognizing the efforts of companies to improve disclosure standards and corporate governance is well appreciated and the Bank extends its sincere thanks for organizing the prestigious event," the statement added.
