NA convocation for students

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Nepal Army on Tuesday held convocation for some 500 students selected from various schools across the country for 100 days training under Rastriya Sewa Dal.



On the occasion, Lieutenant General Toran Jung Bahadur Singh gave away prizes to students, selected from class 7, 8 and 9, for outstanding performances, a press release issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of NA said.



Singh said the training is being imparted to “inculcate the feeling of nationalism and national unity” among the youth and “encourage” them to lead a “disciplined, honest, dutiful and healthy” life.



The program was also attended by students of Rastriya Sewa Dal from India and Sri Lanka, who are visiting Nepal on Youth Exchange Program.



NA has trained some 18,500 students since 2022 BS under this program so far.
