KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Honoring the four-decade-long musical journey of veteran composer Shambujeet Baskota, the first day of Shambujeet Golden Musical Journey-2018’ was held at Tudhikhel ground, Kathmandu. The two-day long event was organized by Sadhana Kala Kendra.
The event kicked off with the performance of the legendary Prem Dhoj Pradhan. Pradhan sang three originals -- ‘Timro Ghumto’, ‘Natarki Bani Avinaya Gareu’ and ‘Derurali Ma Maya’ -- all of which were composed four decades back.

Along with Pradhan, the lineup also consisted of veteran singers Anand Karki, Yam Baral, Amar Tandukar, and Komal Oli among many others.
During the musical event, Shambujeet Baskota, Prem Dhoj Pradhan, and Unnati Bohara jointly released ‘Fharki Aau Shanti Timi’ -- a lyrical book of Unnati Bohara.
The second day of the event took place at Soaltee Hotel on Sunday. The concert at Soaltee featured Bollywood singers Anuradha Paudwal, Sanjeevani, and Nepali singer Deepa Jha. They were accompanied by Madan Krishna Shrestha, Hari Bansa Acharya, Yogesh Vaidya, and Deepak Kharel, stated event coordinator—Milan Moktan.
