Chitwan District Police Chief Pradhumna Karki said that they are taking murder-accused Adhikari to the court to proceed with necessary legal action.
Adhikari, who was arrested in Kathmandu, was taken to Chitwan on Friday citing connection of murder case with Chitwan.
Preparation is underway to take him to the court today as it was public holiday yesterday.
The Unified CPN (Maoist) has protested the arrest of their cadre on murder charge while parents of the murdered Adhikari – Nanda Prasad and Ganga Maya – had broken their fasting last night after 47 days of hunger strike following a three-point agreement with government talk team.
It may be noted that Krishna Prasad Adhikari was abducted and subsequently murdered in Chitwan some nine years ago.
Police have intensified search for other murder-accused in connection with the incident, said Superintendant of Police (SP) Karki.
