KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Maghe Sankranti or Maghi is being celebrated across the country on Monday. Different communities mark this day according to their culture and traditions.

Magar community celebrated the day as Maghe Sankranti whereas Tharu community celebrated it as Maghi. People living in the valley also celebrated the festival in their own way. Magar people gathered at Bhrikuti Mandap whereas Tharu people were seen in Tudikhel to rejoice their festivals.
