MPs should be subjected to biometric attendance: Pradhan

KATHMANDU, September 14: Bhimsen Das Pradhan, a member of the House of Representatives, has complained that there is no evaluation of parliamentarians who come regularly and those who do not.

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Bhimsen Das Pradhan, a member of the House of Representatives, has complained that there is no evaluation of parliamentarians who come regularly and those who do not.



Speaking at the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, MP Pradhan made this complaint. He demanded parliament make provisions for biometric attendance of MPs.

Parliamentarian Pradhan said that there is a situation where the bell has to be rung three minutes when the quorum is not reached in the parliament session and negative news about parliament has gone out. He said that there should be a proper assessment of the parliamentarians present and absent in parliament by making arrangements for their biometric attendance.
