KATHMANDU, July 4: Members of the National Assembly, the upper House of the federal parliament, have drawn the government’s attention to the problem faced by the farmers due to the shortage of chemical fertilizers. Today, in the special sitting of the upper House, MP Anita Devkota objected that the budget was spent in an unorganized manner.

She said, “In the context of freezing the budget, the plan is to spend only in June. It can’t accelerate the pace of development, development can’t be sustainable, and we have to think about the budget for the next year.” She demanded the government address the shortage of fertilizers for the farmers.
