Transportation and markets have been closed since early morning on account of protesters disrupting roads, chanting slogans and burning tires at places such as Maisthan, Ghantaghar, Pratima Chowk and Murali Chowk.
All industries and businesses are also closed.
Although protesters have not disrupted educational institutions, most remain closed regardless.
Kalaiya of Bara district is also closed.
