KATHMANDU, MAY 17: Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) is yet to decide on joining the new government despite pledging to support the new coalition led by CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

“The Central Working Committee (CWC) of the party will take a decision whether we will join the new government,” MPRF Chairman Upendra Yadav told a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

He further said that his party is undecided over joining the new government due to earlier decision of the CWC not to join the government to be led by other parties.

“The CWC decision has not been overruled yet,” Yadav said.

When asked about the change in the party´s decision to support the proposed new government to be led by CPN-UML, party´s Co-Chairman J P Gupta said, ”We decided to back the UML-led coalition after CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal committed in writing to the eight-point agreement between the government and Madhesi parties Sunday morning."
