KATHMANDU, July 29: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), a political group that has been unhappy with the new constitution, has shown green singles toward joining the government to be formed by the Nepali Congress-CPN (Moist) alliance.

Rethinking their earlier conditions, the UDMF made its views public saying that it would join the government if the NC-CPN (MC) alliance made commitment to address their demands in writing.

The UDMF had called a meeting to dwell on the matter.

The meeting of Federal Alliance at the central party headquarters of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal in Tinkune on Thursday had decided to join the government after reaching a deal with the NC-CPN (MC) alliance.

“A proper decision will be taken in line with the changed political circumstances after holding talks with the NC-CPN (MC) as it is still not the right time to take a decision on joining the government,” was the decision taken by the Federal Alliance yesterday.

FSFN Chairman Upendra Yadav and other leaders associated to the FA will take a decision after holding talks with the NC-CPN (MC).
