He informed that his party will made public the protest programs within three to four days. He also said that his party´s agitation would be different from that of the protests launched by the alliance led by Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.[break]
“We are not taking to the streets with an objective of making Sushil Koirala or any other leader the prime minister. We have decided to launch protests because Baburam Bhattarai coalition has obstructed consensus among the political forces,” said Yadav.
Yadav also said that his party is for forming election government under the leadership of a neutral candidate. He, however, rejected the idea of forming an election government headed by the sitting chief justice.
“There are various other neutral candidates who deserve the prime minister´s post,” he said. “But the UCPN (Maoist) leaders´ proposal to nominate chief justice for the chief executive post is unacceptable.” He also accused UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of trying to defer elections by floating such an “impractical” proposal.
He added that the new government should be formed with the mandate to hold election to the Constituent Assembly as well as the local bodies and that the tenure of the election coalition should be limited to three months.
Yadav made it clear that his party took the decision to unseat the present government as UCPN (Maoist) leaders announced in public that they want to stay in power for 25 to 30 years.
