MPRF leaders from hilly districts press for unity

KATHMANDU, June 8: Some leaders of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) have urged top leaders to avert split in the party.



"We request the party Chairman Upendra Yadav and senior leader Bijay Gachchhadar to immediately take initiatives toward this direction," said a statement issued after a meeting convened by Dr. Tilak Rawal, central member of MPRF. The party´s presidents from some hilly districts joined the campaign led by Rawal.



The party´s presidents from Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Mugu and Achham districts signed the statement.



The MPRF is on the verge of vertical split. Party Chairman Yadav lead the one factions while recently-appointed Deputy Prime Minister Gachchadar is leading another in the party.
