MP Arun Kumar Chaudhary spotted in parliament, but his name not included in presidential election voter list

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Arun Kumar Chaudhary, a Nagarik Unmukti Party member elected to the Federal Parliament from Kailali Constituency No. 2, is participating in today's Parliament meeting.

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Arun Kumar Chaudhary, a Nagarik Unmukti Party member elected to the Federal Parliament from Kailali Constituency No. 2, is participating in today's Parliament meeting.


However, Chaudhary's name is not included in the final list of voters of the presidential election.

On August 19, 2010, Mahadev Bajgain filed a case against Parshuram Chaudhary and Bir Bahadur Chaudhary, along with MP Arun Chaudhar at the Kailali District Court accusing them of torching his tractor on August 18, 2009.


On April 13, 2013, the Kailali District Court sentenced the three people - Parshuram Chaudhary and Bir Bahadur Chaudhary, including MP Arun Kumar Chaudhary - to six months in prison.


MP Chaudhary was released from prison on February 19 after being granted executive clemency by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on the occasion of National Democracy Day 2079 BS.
