Moving bus overturns at New Baneshwar Chowk, passengers reported to be safe

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: A moving bus overturned on the road of New Baneshwar Chowk in Kathmandu. The police said that the bus flipped when the road towards the service lane was eroded, causing the wheel to get stuck.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, the spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, informed Republica that a wheel at the back of the bus was swept away due to a pothole or drainage issue under the road. Fortunately, all passengers are reported to be safe.


Bus BA 3 KHA 3762 heading towards Ratnapark overturned while it was moving. The passengers got out of the overturned bus safely.
