Mother helped son rape a minor: Police

PARASI, Jan 24: Police have filed a rape case against a mother and son in Nawalparasi.



The case has been filed against Shree Ram Prajapati (20) of Ramgram Municipality- 3 and his mother.



According to the police, the accused had taken a 14-year-old girl arrived Parasi Bazaar after fleeing from a child reform home in Kathmandu a month ago to their home promising to take care of her.



But, Prajapati allegedly raped the girl following the support from his mother.



The girl was handed over to the Prajapati family under the presence of the District Child Welfare Committee, said the District Police Office.



According to the statement given by the girl to the police, Prajapati raped her after tying her hands and legs with a rope.



However, the accused have denied the allegation and claimed the charges were framed against them.
