KATHMANDU, July 26: Morgan International College and Trungram International Academy (TIA) recorded wins on the opening day of the Second Ganeshman Singh Memorial Cup Inter-college (Plus 2) Basketball Tournament on Sunday.

Morgan defeated TIA 43-28 in THE boys' opener. Dariyo Gurung added highest 15 points for Morgan. Similarly, TIA recorded a 21-14 win over Golden Gate in girls' section riding on Karma Sherpa's 12 points.
Likewise, Liverpool, Bagmati, Prime, Goldengate and Angel's Heart won their respective matches in the boys' section. The tournament, being organized by Ganeshman Singh Foundation, will conclude on August 2. Altogether 16 teams of boys and eight teams of girls are taking part in the event.
