Monsoon to end after few days

KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The continuous rainfall form last 24 hours in the capital and other part of the country is almost the last rainfall of this monsoon season, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division.



Assistant Director General at the Division, Mani Shakya, said this year’s monsoon is likely to end after a week. [break]



He also informed RSS that the present rainfall will come to an end by Tuesday evening.



He said this year’s monsoon will remain active for few days more though normally monsoon ends after September 23 in Nepal.



He argued that this monsoon should be taken as normal.



The west part of the country has not recorded the rainfall and Kathmandu has the highest record of rainfall till Monday morning, Shakya added.



According to the record, Kathmandu received 57 milliliter rainfall until this morning.
