KATHMANDU, May 18: The Nawaraj Suvedi-led Joint People's Movement Committee of royalists has intensified preparations for a capital-centered protest starting from May 29.
To maximize public participation, the committee decided to launch a public awareness campaign in the Kathmandu Valley. At a meeting held at the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) central office in Dhumbarahi, they resolved to start a five-day campaign focused on Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.

The campaign will start from Sankhu in Kathmandu, proceed through the Kanti area, then move from Lalitpur, and conclude at Changunarayan in Bhaktapur. "The task force formed to finalize the program presented a detailed plan at the meeting," a source said.
To effectively implement the program, the organizers also held a gathering. Navaraj Subedi, coordinator of the Joint People's Movement Committee, chaired the meeting, which included participants such as RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, RPP Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa, Rashtriya Shakti Nepal’s Keshar Bahadur Bisht, Nepali Congress (BP), and representatives from Rashtra, Rashtriyata, Dharma Sanskriti Nagarik Bachau Abhiyan, Shiv Sena Nepal, Nepali for Nepal, National Concern Forum, World Hindu Federation, and others.
Similarly, RPP Nepal General Secretary Rajaram Bartola announced that they have scheduled an interaction program with intellectuals from various sectors on May 20 to discuss the need, justification, and importance of the people’s movement. “Top leaders will attend the interaction,” he said.
