MoFAGA transfers employees serving within Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU, August 2: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) has started transferring employees who have served in the offices within Singha Durbar for a term of more than three years.

Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Kamal Prasad Bhattarai of MoFAGA said that the ministry transferred 14 under secretaries and eight section officers in the first phase on Tuesday.

According to Bhattarai, the ministry has transferred Under Secretary Khagendra Subedi, working in the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security to the office under Pakhribas Municipality, Dhankuta, and other under secretaries to the local level bodies of Rautahat.

Similarly, Under Secretary Chomendra Neupane, working in the Ministry of Home Affairs or the office under it, has been transferred to Melauli Municipality, Baitadi, Under Secretary Shreedhar Gautam working in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has been transferred to Shikhar Municipality, Doti and Under Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Somraj Baral has been transferred to Godaita Municipality, Sarlahi.

Eight section officers working at various offices inside Singha Durbar have also been transferred to remote local level bodies. Sushil Kumar Bhandari, a section officer working in the Ministry of Home Affairs and other section officers working under the Home Ministry, have been transferred to various local bodies, in Sidingba Rural Municipality, Taplejung. Hari Jung Chand, a section officer working in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and two other section officers under the Ministry, have been transferred to different local bodies in Junichande Rural Municipality, Jajarkot.

According to Spokesperson Bhattarai, the ministry has started to send those who have completed their work period in the easily accessible areas to the remote areas. He said, “The transfer management task force formed by the ministry recommended to the government to transfer the employees who have been working in the Kathmandu Valley for a continuous period of three years or more, to outside the Valley on the basis of their service period. Accordingly, the transfer process has started.”
