MoFA issues travel advisory for Nepalis visiting Southeast Asia

The ministry issued this information to Nepali citizens wishing to travel to Israel, Iran or other Middle Eastern countries or for foreign employment from Nepal through a press release on Wednesday. The ministry has requested Nepali citizens who are preparing to travel to Israel and Iran for foreign employment or other purposes not to do so as long as the current complex situation persists.
Similarly, the notice also states that Nepali citizens who are preparing to travel to other Middle Eastern countries other than Israel and Iran or for foreign employment or other purposes should postpone such travel until the current complex situation persists. Stating that the Nepalese government is closely monitoring the developments between Israel and Iran, it has stated that Nepali citizens who are there are safe so far and appropriate steps will be taken as necessary to protect their interests.
The ministry's press release states that since Nepali citizens who wish to return to Nepal voluntarily are currently closed to Israel and Iran, they may have to obtain a third-country 'transit visa' if they have to return to Nepal via a third country.
The ministry has requested Nepali citizens in Israel and Iran to prioritize their safety and not leave their homes or bunkers/shelters except at designated times and places. They have also been requested to continuously receive and follow the information, standards and information related to security precautions, travel, movement and safe places issued by the Israeli government.
The ministry has urged them to stay in regular contact with the Nepali community and the Nepali Embassy and to regularly check the information and travel-related information issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy. In order to facilitate rescue, assistance and 'tracking' in the event of a crisis, they have been requested to register on the 'online link' provided on the 'website' of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Consular Services and the Nepali Embassy, Tel Aviv and fill out their details as soon as possible.
