KATHMANDU, Dec 10: A senior leader of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Harsha Vardhan has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in favor of a strong and stable Nepal.

Addressing the inaugural session of the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) in Kathmandu on Friday, leader Harsha Vardhan recalled that India had extended full cooperation to Nepal in the aftermath of the earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Harsha Vardhan said that the prime ministers of Nepal and India have already held negotiations twice. He said that Prime Minister Modi always wants to see a strong and prosperous Nepal.

Arguing that it is rare to see the presence of top leaders of all major political parties at a single forum, BJP leader Harsha Vardhan said this provides inspiration to all parties in other countries in the world.
