HETAUDA, June 4: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that while many had mocked his words of connecting Nepal with India and China via train, he said that it would materialize before the government ended its tenure.

“Let everyone mock, but a train will pass by,” Oli said as he reminded that a Chinese survey team was assessing feasibility for Rasuwa-Kathmandu-Lumbini train. “That study will conclude by August this year,” he said adding that a train would pass by. Oli also recalled Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words of Raxual-Kathmandu railway during his visit to Nepal last month.

“The Indian team will conclude their feasibility study in a year, and within four years, a train will pass by!” he said adding that a metro rail would circle Kathmandu within three years.

“Nepal is a land of opportunities and it must find its priorities and possibilities to ensure prosperity and development,” Oli said.
