KATHMANDU, Sep 7: The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Nepali Society UAE and other humanitarian organizations, organized a mobile camp on Saturday to support Nepali citizens living and working in the UAE.
The camp, held in Al-Ain city about 200 km from Abu Dhabi, provided services related to passport renewal, labor legalization, consular support, and worker awareness. A significant number of Nepalis attended the camp to access these services, including legal consultations.

Information was also shared on recent policy, legal, and procedural measures introduced by the Government of Nepal in the area of labor governance. These included workers’ enrollment in the Social Security Fund, the process of enrollment, and the benefits of sending remittances through formal channels.
Participants were further informed about the rules, laws, and precautions that must be observed while residing in the UAE.
In a press release, the Embassy stated that it remains proactive and committed to making the passport renewal process simple, convenient, fast, and effective. It added that priority services are provided to individuals whose passports have expired, whose visas have lapsed, who have lost their passports, or who require labor ligalization.
