A pressure group formed to demand government investigation into her disappearance presented over 100,000 signatures to the prime minister.
The group has also warned of stringent protest if the govenrment fails to investigate the disappearance and find out the truth.
Accepting the memorandum from the group at Singadurbar on Monday, Prime Minister´s Principal Secretary Ganga Shrestha assured that investigation will be started as soon as possible, according to Pancha Narayan Maharjan, the brother of the missing woman.

However Prime Minister´s Principal Secretary Shrestha told Republica that he informed Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal about the memorandum. "An investigation committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs may be formed within a few days," he added.
Organizing a demonstration in the capital, the pressure group had reached the prime minister´s office, Maharjan said. The family strongly criticized police negligence in searching for the missing Maharjan, who had left home to visit a family friend Surakchhya Singh aka Nikki at Baneshwar.
The family registered a complaint at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu but it was later was handed over to Hanuman Dhoka Police.
According to the Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Hanuman Dhoka, Nikki, prime suspect, was released on a bail of Rs 100,000. "We are working to start further investigation into the case," said DSP Singh.
After police failed to gain any substantive lead in the investigation, the kin of the missing woman have reached out to the politicians as well.
