KATHMANDU, July 24: The Nepal Communist Party has asked Sher Bahadur Tamang, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to resign from his post. Tamang is scheduled to resign by organizing a press meet at 2 PM today itself, according to a source.
Tamang was dragged into controversy after his misogynistic statement to MBBS students of Bangladesh while interacting with SEE students of Practical International Academy on Friday.Tamang had later apologized for his remarks and expressed commitment to ensure violence free society and promote equality.
Tamang is the first minister to resign from Oli's cabinet.
