BIRATNAGAR, Dec 31: Province 1 Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Kedar Karki has urged doctors to continue treating COVID-19 patients by following the necessary protocols, citing the risk of the new ‘omicron’ variant.
While inspecting the Covid Hospital in Biratnagar on Friday, he instructed the doctors to be vigilant about the possible risk of the coronavirus and its omicron variant and to prepare for the treatment for the deadly virus.
In addition, Minister Karki urged that no infected patients should be deprived of any kind of treatment.
“If the patients aren't able to get treatment at the hospital, then where will they go? This should be a topic of concern and everyone should be treated in a diligent manner,” Minister Karki said. He said that the management of the hospital should be efficient and sound as the provincial government has been vigilant to prevent any shortcomings in the treatment as the infection of omicron variant could increase.
On the occasion, Minister Karki also inquired about the condition of the patients being treated at the hospital as well as its ICU and ventilator room.
