KATHMANDU: The price of milk has gone up by Rs 6.52 per liter. The government on Monday decided to increase the price of milk.
Monday’s cabinet meeting increased the price of milk for farmers by Rs 6.52. The Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) will determine the price.
Farmers had been demanding an immediate hike in milk prices. They had demanded an increment of Rs 15-20 in the milk price per liter.
They had also warned of launching a struggle if the unit price of milk was not increased at the earliest.
