KATHMANDU, March 5: The government has issued Service Campaign Operation Guidelines 2065 to ban middlemen and brokers in government offices in an attempt to make service delivery efficient and transparent, according to Kantipur daily. The guidelines were issued on March 3. The government will appoint moderators in government offices who will assist service seekers in writing applications and filling up forms free of cost. The guidelines were brought in view of harassment of service seekers by brokers at Land Revenue Offices, Transport Management Offices and District Administration Office and Mapping Office among others, which see rush of service seekers all the time. The guidelines provide that service seekers can demand compensation for unusual delays in service delivery.
