According to organizers, the six-day event drew around 431,350 visitors. The event, held at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu, featured a total of 220 stalls. [break]CAN also organized the 13th ICT Conference on the sidelines of the event.
The two-day conference on ´Promoting e-Democracy in Nepal´ was organized by CAN and Internet Society Nepal Chapter with the objective of maximizing ICT use in government agencies that deal directly with the public.
"Considering the number of visitors and response from exhibitors, we feel the event was successful in achieving its objectives. We also received warm response from decision-makers and political figures," said CAN General Secretary Amrit Pant.

Exhibitors also termed the event successful, saying that they were able to promote their brands, interact with potential clients and introduce new products and services.
Madhuwala Shrestha, a resident of Balaju, won Samsung Galaxy Note II under the lucky draw program sponsored by Vianet Communication. Vianet Communication conducted the lucky draw among those who filled the forms at its stall.
e-Class, an e-learning tool introduced by Midas Technologies, was one of the crowd pullers at the event. The software drew attention of lots of students, teachers and school managers.
Midas, also the title sponsor of the mega ICT fair, has announced that it would launch free training for teachers to introduce e-Class at school level.
Neoteric Nepal´s stall also drew huge crowd. The company showcased Dell laptops and tablets with Windows 8 operating system, Nokia Lumia phones that support Nepali applications and cheaper tablets.

Companies selling anti-virus software also drew crowd as they extended special offers, while Web Surfer, which opened bookings for 1Mbps Internet service at Rs 495 per month, also generated interest among visitors.
"We received overwhelming response from visitors, as we had announced waiver in installation fee on subscription of one-year night or volume-based package and unlimited package for six months,” said Web Surfer CEO Suman Lal Pradhan.
The 100-rupee SIM card with 100-rupee talk time offer launched by Nepal Telecom also attracted visitors at the expo, while palm sized projector, Dell laptops, monitor and printer exhibited by Generation Next were also one of the major crowd pullers. The information provided by Maya Animation on making of animated movies was also keenly heard by visitors.
On the last day of the event, Nepways launched its website nlocate.com, a location finder. The site was inaugurated by Shanker Pokharel, former minister for information and communications.
