Memorial meeting held at Bhugolpark

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: National Society for Earthquake Technology (NSET) Nepal organized a memorial meeting in memory of those who had lost their lives from earthquake, at Bhugolpark located at Dharmapath in the capital on Monday.



Participants at the gathering wished that such a disaster does not repeat in the days ahead as they recalled those, who lost their lives in the earthquake that had occurred on Magh 2, 1990 BS. [break]



Government Officers, members of Civil Society, office-bearers of different organizations and students offered flowers on the memorial pillar.



Executive Director of NSET-Nepal, Amodmani Dixit stated that it is the first priority to inform all about the methods to be safe from the earthquake as it causes heavy loss of lives and property that comes without giving notice.



The 14th Earthquake Safety Day is being celebrated today. This Day is observed every year in the country in memory of the earthquake of Magh 2, 1990 BS.
