LUMBINI, Sept 7: A meeting of the Lumbini Province Assembly is being held today after a month. The 24th meeting of the second session of the provincial assembly will be held today at 12 noon, according to the Secretariat of the Provincial Assembly.
Ishwari Prasad Acharya, spokesperson for the provincial assembly, said that preparations were underway to advance the 'Bill on the Establishment, Operation, and Regulation of Provincial Civil Service and Related Matters' in today’s meeting.

He also said that Sudhakhar Pandey, a senior member of the Provincial Affairs and Law Committee, has an agenda to present the report on the Bill in the assembly.
Earlier, the bill was sent to the Provincial Affairs and Law Committee for discussion. The committee formed a sub-committee and collected opinions and suggestions from experts and stakeholders. A report was prepared based on the suggestions.
There is a provision that the bill can be passed in the next meeting held 24 hours after the report is submitted in the assembly.
