Meeting between Oli and PM Deuba: What matters were discussed?

KATHMANDU, August 24: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday morning.


Along with Chairman Oli, UML leaders Subas Chandra Nemwang and Bishnu Poudel also reached Baluwatar. Government Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki also participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, Oli drew Prime Minister Deuba's attention to the fact that the federal and provincial assembly elections to be held on November 20 should be free, fair, and credible.


The government recently discussed in the House of Representatives the bill regarding the amendment to the The Enforced Disappearances Enquiry, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act. Leaders have said that Oli has discussed with the government the passage of the Citizenship Bill again and the increase in prices of daily consumer goods.
