“With new technological advancements, students of mechanical engineering are also developing new products seeking attention from all,” he said, adding, “The expo will give a platform to students to present their ideas and projects to public, engineers, students and industrialists.”
The event will showcase 14 projects developed by the fourth year students of IOE along with projects from Kathmandu University, Thapathali Engineering College, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, Alternative Energy Promotion Center, Department of Roads and the semifinalists of the recently held National Robocop Competition.
“Apart from showcasing our projects, we will also brief plus two graduates on issues related to mechanical engineering,” exhibition coordinator Pashupati Dhakal said, adding that the main attractions of the event are robot demonstration, projects on mini-hydropower, counseling about the areas and scopes of mechanical engineering, engineering achievement and experts´ presentation, among others.
The first edition of the event organized last year was visited by more than 12,000 people. The organizers are expecting about 25,000 visitors this year.
