KATHMANDU, Dec 10: The US Assistance Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement is set to be presented in the next parliamentary session.
The MCC, which was registered in the fourth session of the House of Representatives on July 15, 2019, was attempted to be passed in the ninth session but in vain. The tenth convention has been convened for December 14.
According to a source, the government is preparing to read out the President's letter in the first meeting on the same day, observe one minute of silence and table six ordinances issued by the President. The government is preparing to present the MCC even by calling a second meeting on the same day. Due to the government's preparations, parliament has prepared an agenda in this regard.
According to sources, the government should discuss how to move the MCC forward after it is presented in parliament. "The MCC will be presented at parliament on the same day. The agenda has been prepared accordingly," the source informed Republica.
