MBBS students continue to protest demanding internship arrangements

MBBS students who have not been able to complete their internships in China due to the coronavirus pandemic have continued their protest programs.

Hundreds of students have complained that their future has become uncertain. Meanwhile, members of the Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives have alerted the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to immediately resolve the problem of students who haven’t been able to go back to China to continue their studies.


The parliamentary committee has directed the government to immediately make arrangements of students who returned from China due to COVID-19 to go back to the northern neighbor and continue their studies.


The protestors have accused the Nepal Medical Council for not taking the necessary steps. According to the protesting students, until they do not get their internship arrangement they will continue to protest in front of Nepal Medical Council, Bansbari.
