DOLPA, March 29: Two dozers owned by Dolpa's Thulibheri Municipality Mayor Ganesh Bahadur Shahi were set ablaze.

An unidentified group set the dozers (Bhe 1 Ka 4636 and Bhe 1 Ka 1294) on fire in a forest between Jufal and Lahara in the course of road construction linking Wards 5 and 6, said Police Inspector Hariram Dangi. Locals said there was no untoward incident on dozers till 7.30PM Saturday but the fire was noticed the next morning. It is yet to be found who was behind the incident, Inspector Dangi said, adding that an on-site investigation has been initiated.

The fire has destroyed both the dozers. Police said that both the dozers were found registered in the name of Mausham and Harish Construction Service. Mayor Shahi said he was in Kathmandu when the incident took place and was informed of the incident over the phone. Police have already reached the site for further investigation, Mayor Shahi said.
