KATHMANDU, July 10: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has said that he has become a criminal by speaking against India's ‘cultural intervention’ and that the Prime Minister is exempted when he said India determines the PM of this country.

In a social media post on Sunday, Shah expressed his views on the matter, stating that his criticism of India's intervention has labeled him as a criminal, while the Prime Minister has been excused although he said that India decides the PM of the country.

Shah presented a photograph of the summon letter issued by the Supreme Court, emphasizing that opposing India's cultural interference is considered a criminal act.

He wrote, “Today is a significant day. As of today, I have been summoned by the court for protesting against India's cultural intervention. Today, the Prime Minister was exempted when he said it is India that determines who becomes the Prime Minister of this country.”
