UDAYAPUR, Nov 30: The District Police Office, Udayapur has today arrested the mastermind behind the ambushing of the vehicle carrying the House of Representatives election candidate Narayan Bahadur Karki of the Nepali Congress at Danuwarbensi, Udayapurgadhi rural municipality-6 on Wednesday.
He is Bal Bahadur Magar of Shahikhola, Triyuga Municipality-7. Police also confiscated the motorcycle used by them, Chief of Udayapur District, Nawaraj Bhatta said.
Police have identified Magar's accomplices and are searching for them at every village and transit points in the district.
Seven people including election candidate Karki were ambushed while traveling in the vehicle. The vehicle was ambushed in the jungle at Danuwarbensi on Wednesday. All those on board the vehicle sustained serious injuries in the ambush. RSS
