KATHMANDU, Jan 29: A big fire broke out at Kuleshwor chowk in the capital at around 9 pm on Sunday. The fire which broke out from a hotel in front of the Nabil Bank branch at the Kuleshwor chowk spread to two houses and nearly two dozen shops.
There was no casualty reported. However, the loss of physical property is estimated to be big.

The fire was brought under control after efforts of nearly an hour and a half. A short circuit caused the fire, according to the police.
Fire extinguishers and fire fighters from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur were mobilized to the incident site to douse the fire.
Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force teams were quickly dispatched to the incident site, according to DSP Nawaraj Adhikari of Kalimati Police Circle.
