Following tradition, the Sansthan will arrange accommodation, food, and firewood for sages from Falgun Krishna Ekadashi. On Falgun Krishna Aunsi, officials will bid farewell to the sages with offerings based on their status. Thousands of sages from India visit Pashupatinath for Maha Shivaratri each year.
As part of the ritual, the Head of State performs a Sankalp Puja on Falgun Krishna Ekadashi, dedicating accommodation, food, and firewood for the sages. President Ram Chandra Paudel will conduct the puja at Sheetal Niwas at 10 am on Monday.
Officials will include traditional offerings such as Radi (woolen blanket), Kamandalu (water pot), Chamar (fly whisk), and food items in the Sankalp Puja.
With the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, India, authorities anticipate a higher number of devotees at Pashupatinath this year.
