House endorses Public-Private Partnership and Investment Bill

Today's meeting of the House of Representatives has passed the proposal seeking consideration on 'Public-Private Partnership and Investment Bill-2075', with majority. Minister for Finance Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada on the behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli presented the proposal. The bill was essential to pave the way to prosperity and socialism with the cooperation of all as the constitution has clearly maintained the way for socialism.

CPN's leader injured in police raid

A Nepal Communist Party's leader sustained injuries on his leg as he tried to flee a police raid. During the raid, police confiscated single a Chinese pistol and two Short Machine Guns (SMG) along with 202 rounds of bullets, SP Achyutam Pudasaini.Roka is now undergoing treatment at Butwal.  

Lawmakers call for forming commission to fix price of agro-products

Lawmakers have voiced for forming an agro-product price determination commission. Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives today, they called for forming such commission allowing the farmers themselves to fix the price of agro-products that they produce. They also stressed that the farmers should be involved in the pricing. The government and the parliament to the need of forming the agro-product price determination commission. 

Blast in India's Jammu and Kashmir wounds at least 18: police

A grenade explosion at a bus stand in the Indian city of Jammu wounded at least 18 people on Thursday, police said, in an attack just weeks after a Pakistan-based militant group killed 40 paramilitary police in Kashmir, almost sparking a war. “I request everybody to maintain calm,” Jammu’s police chief M.K. Sinha told reporters at the site of the blast. “We are chasing all leads.”

China praises Pakistan's 'restraint' over Kashmir tensions

China has praised Pakistan’s “restraint” and willingness to talk with India to ease tensions between the two countries after a deadly bombing in Indian-controlled Kashmir last month. “China calls on Pakistan and India to refrain from taking actions that aggravate the situation, show goodwill and flexibility, launch dialogue as soon as possible, and work together to maintain regional peace and stability,”.
