On Saturday, the UCPN (M) had decided to let the parliament open for any three days. According to Maoist’s vice-chair Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the parliamentary party’s meeting on Sunday morning decided on the dates.
Shrestha added that the Maoist lawmakers will boycott the meeting on the day the budget will be passed. Only a few Maoist lawmakers will attend the discussion on the budget.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the business advisory committee of the parliament approved the agenda of the parliament to pass the budget during the parliament’s meeting on Wednesday.
According to RSS, the meeting of the advisory committee also decided to lessen hours for debate on budget and shift the CA meetings so as to conclude parliamentary deliberations on different headings of the budget.
Member of the committee Sunil Prajapati said deliberations on budget for 16 different ministries will be concluded tomorrow. He said the committee also decided to put off today’s meeting of the parliament by issuing a notice.
As per the business advisory committee’s decision, the deliberations on report of CA committee on fundamental rights and directive principles in the CA scheduled for Monday to Wednesday have been shifted to Thursday, Friday and next Sunday.
